JEWISH VOICES - Memories of Leicester in the 1940s and 50s
We would like to thank the 70 members of Leicester's 1940s and 50s Jewish community who have generously contributed their memories and photos to our Heritage Lottery Fund project.  Their written and photographic memories have been collated into a fascinating book which not only tells the story of Jewish history in Leicester but reflects the wider story of Jewish history across the UK.

Leicester Jewish Memories Project
Our extensive range of courses and writers' workshops include fiction and non-fiction, poetry and children's writing, plus playwriting for stage, radio and screen.  Students on our courses learn editing and publishing skills, including style and presentation.  We take developing writers through from newspaper and magazine publishing to short story and novel writing, from biography and memoir to writing a film script.  In a friendly supportive environment, we nurture students' creative and craft skills and guide their professional development.

BURSARIES  Writing School Leicester has very limited funds, but if you can't afford the fee please do have a word in confidence with Val Moore.
