is a short story writer, novelist and poet. Her novel, A Mile of River, was Simon Mayo’s Book of the Month on Radio Five Live in April 2008 and was shortlisted for the prestigious Portico Prize for Literature. Her short stories were featured in the Bridport Prize Anthology 2007 and on BBC Radio 4’s One to Watch – a showcase of talented, up-and-coming writers.

speculative short stories have appeared in numerous magazines and have been broadcast by BBC Radio. He was shortlisted in 2005 for the Douglas Coupland short story contest and was recently awarded a grant by Arts Council England to complete his first novel. Started her writing career at Leicester Adult Education College. She has published books for 6-10 year olds with Oxford University Press and Random House. She is currently finishing the final draft of a teen historical novel for Walker Books. In her spare time she is a primary school teacher.
